John Ravilious cited Gary Boyd Roberts (RD600, p. 431), stating that Elizabeth
Gascoigne was mother of Margaret. Roberts was assuming that she had m. Anthony
St. Quintin, but John Watson had proven that John was the name of Margaret's father
(and finds no record of any Anthony at this time), so there is at least a half-hearted
assumption that Elizabeth Gascoigne may have m. John & been Margaret's mother.

The Pedigress of the St. Quintin line, and other early sources had no children for
Thomas. John Watson determined that Thomas m., 2ndly, Margaret heiress of Hornby,
and brought Hornby to the family, which was passed by Thomas's grandaughter
Margare to the Conyers. The new line is proven by the descent of Hornby. However it
is a generation earlier (on the St. Quintin side) than the original sources.
